Throughout the planning process, consultation has taken place with many societies and trusts to develop a sustainable framework for RiverCrescent which respects the environment and encourages bio-diversity.

The development team have travelled across the world looking at outstanding examples of best practice and, Trent Park Developments have incorporated sustainable features within the River Crescent development. All apartments are south facing with solar reflective glazing as this considerably reduces heating and energy costs to residents.

Wind turbines are mounted on each of the five stair towers to the rear of the apartments. These power the heat pump, which heats the swimming pool through a heat exchanger with water from the river.

A new riverside walkway will be opened connecting River Crescent to the nearby 240 acres of Colwick Country Park. Residents only boat moorings have been designed to allow wildlife, particularly water birds, to make use of the riverbank, and live in harmony with the boats. Trent Park Developments have been working with the Wildlife Trust to develop ways of increasing and encouraging bio-diversity within the grounds of RiverCrescent. Ecology and inspiration are two more reasons for enjoying the Good Life at RiverCrescent.
